Everyone Has A Story.

Sonder

n. the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own—populated with their own ambitions, friends, routines, worries and inherited craziness—an epic story that continues invisibly around you like an anthill sprawling deep underground, with elaborate passageways to thousands of other lives that you’ll never know existed, in which you might appear only once, as an extra sipping coffee in the background, as a blur of traffic passing on the highway, as a lighted window at dusk. — dictionaryofobscuresorrows

Why “Small Town Sonder?”

Our Founder, Harvey Dixon Jr., spent his formative years in a small country town in Central Louisiana. This small town was unknown and insignificant, to the majority of the world, especially when in comparison to bustling cities like New York City or Los Angeles. Yet, its residents decided that this small town was the perfect backdrop for their life’s story and the place to create memories that will last for generations. As Mr. Dixon grew older, he realized that art, whether visual, written, spoken, sung or even played, had the ability to connect strangers, generations, and communities. The stories and memories that others shared with him and those he experienced, inspired Mr. Dixon to pursue a career in media and entertainment and ultimately to create his own production company, SMALL TOWN SONDER.

The word Sonder, is a reminder that everyone has a story, regardless of what town you originate from, big or small, famous or unknown, your story is powerful and has the ability to impact others and even the world.

We at Small Town Sonder believe that Everyone Has A Story and we dedicate ourselves to creating art that connects with, relates to, and impacts others.
