Everyone Has A Story.
Sonder
n. the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own—populated with their own ambitions, friends, routines, worries and inherited craziness—an epic story that continues invisibly around you like an anthill sprawling deep underground, with elaborate passageways to thousands of other lives that you’ll never know existed, in which you might appear only once, as an extra sipping coffee in the background, as a blur of traffic passing on the highway, as a lighted window at dusk. — dictionaryofobscuresorrows
Why “Small Town Sonder?”
Our founder, Harvey Dixon Jr., spent his formative years in a small country town in Louisiana, one that has remained largely unknown to the world. Lacking the excitement of cities like New York or Los Angeles, this town was, nonetheless, the perfect backdrop for the lives and stories of its residents, a canvas where memories were painted to last for generations. As Harvey grew older, he discovered the profound power of art in all its forms whether visual, written, spoken, sung, or played, and its ability to forge connections between strangers, generations, and communities. The moments, memories, songs, and stories shared with him by others in his small town, ignited his passion for a career in media and entertainment. This passion ultimately led him to establish his own production company.
SMALL TOWN SONDER.
The term "sonder" serves as a reminder that everyone has a story. No matter where you come from, whether your hometown is busy or quiet, renowned or small, your story holds power and the potential to impact others, even the world.
At Small Town Sonder we believe that Everyone Has A Story and we are committed to creating art that resonates with, relates to, and uplifts others.
